I live in a small log cabin the Blue Ridge Mountains.
My home is in Ashe county in the northwest corner of NC.
Fleetwood is not a town so much as a post office.

​When not quilting for others, I am most likely working on a number of quilts just for fun. My professional career included teaching mathematics for 5 years followed by over 20 years of developing software for several companies. The most challenging opportunity was in the 80's when I was on the development team that brought credit card sales at the gas pump to reality. Yes, I talk fluent gas pump language. ​When my daughter & her husband got interested in quilting and opened Greensboro's Ye Olde Forest Quilt Shoppe in August of 2008, I bought some fabric to try my hand at piecing. Just before Christmas 2009, the longarm system took over the guest bedroom. Stranded by snow & an ice covered driveway until mid March, I was on my own to face the challenges of longarming one quilt at a time. The rest is history.

     Follow 421-S (EAST) through Deep Gap. Turn left at light onto 221-N.

2:  From Wilkesboro,
     Take 421-N to the top of mountain & under the Blue Ridge Parkway overpass.
     Just ahead you will see the light. Turn right onto 221-N.
     1 & 2: Go 1.8 mi. Turn Right on West Pine Swamp Rd.
          You will cross the Ashe County line
          You will pass the small Blue Ridge Square shopping center on the left.
          Your turn is the next right.

3:  From W. Jefferson,
     Take 221-S through Fleetwood well past Idlewild Rd on the left.
     Turn Left on West Pine Swamp Road, the next major road
     just past 221 Grocery on the left & then Cranberry Springs Road on the right.

Everyone:
Go ~ 1 mi on West Pine Swamp. Turn Left on Pine Swamp Rd.
     This section is all uphill.
     You next turn will be at the top when the road levels out.
Go ~ 1 mi. Turn Right on Creekside Drive (1st street)
     Pine Swamp Rd starts out paved for a short distance than unpaved.
     This section is all downhill.
     You will see a long row of identical black mailboxes on the right.
     Creekside Dr is just before those mailboxes.
Go 0.5 mi. to my cabin.
     Go thru park-like area & over the creek.
     As road starts climbing, Creekside takes a sharp turn to the right.
     Follow that curve--do not continue up on Plato.
     Go past the 1st cabin driveway on the left.
     Only natural woods for awhile, then you will see a steep drive up to the left.
     Shanti Niketan and 601 are on a sign on a wooden post at the entrance.
     The drive is steep. Either use low gear OR "kick it" to avoid spinning out creating ruts.
     The driveway u-turns at the top to the left & levels out.
     It is only now that you can see my cabin!

1. How to reach you: Shall I call or email you?
2. State ... because NC charges taxes on labor and materials.
3. Quilt top width & length rounded down to nearest inch.
4. Batting: I will quote Warm & White at my wholesale cost if you
   do not specify. Other batting I stock only is only 3 cents more per inch.
   ​I do not make money on batting but you save big.
5. Most partners do their own binding. If you want my help, let me know.
6. Details such as thread, density (how tight or loose the quilting) & pattern do not effect the quote so we can go over your choices later together.

HOW TO PAY

1. Check enclosed with quilt. Write it to me, NOT the business.
   We can estimate the shipping with the risk one us may benefit
   & the other come up short a bit.
2. I DO NOT deposit a check until the work is done. 
3. Mail a check when I finish. I will not ship until paid.
4. Check in person
